Daniela Danica Tepes (b.1963, Slovenia) is a visual artist living and working in Ljubljana and Berlin. She is graduated at the AVA Academy of Visual Arts Ljubljana. Her artwork and installations have been exhibited in Europe, Oceania and Asia. Through activism and art, she draws attention to crimes against humanity and the environment. Her visual expression follows a multidisciplinary approach including video, interactive video, interactive animation, film, installation, photography, computer imaging a combination of 2D and 3D, drawing/sketching, painting and modelling. The aim and focus of the method of visual expression are chiefly to involve and combine a range of artistic practices and the latest media in the context of the visual component. The objective is to creatively experiment with, and build on, the proposed research subject through critical analyses, and develop the ability to adapt it to thematic exhibitions and various pitfalls of the policies of our time. Her works are known for the illusion of duality because her works are always suggesting that nothing is as it seems at first glance.
